Meditation being the focus result of my paintings, I am going to create a collection of Pupas (Cocoons). As pupation is a duration in which insects enter dormancy in order to undergo complete metamorphosis, my sculptures will represent the meditational state I am offering the viewer. Playing with the idea of escapism, Fantasy is a fabulation, therefore there is nowhere real to escape to. The cocoon will symbolise this suffocation in the sense that you cannot escape out of it. The life-size (human) cocoons will be covered with my paintings, being illuminated from the lights hidden inside. Pulsing the lights represent the fantasies that are trying to escape.
