Refining the melting clock frame

Above is a picture of the sanded melting clock frame and a video clip of me sanding it. As the shape was cut out of one piece of wood, the carving and sanding of it was a delicate process. So throughout the sanding process, I positioned the frame on top of a cushioned stall in order to comfortably apply pressure without the worry of it breaking/snapping.

By taking wood away through carving and sanding, I was pushing the material's properties by testing how much I could carve/sand. This process therefore brought out its fragility and at two points, the wood did crack.
