Rough woodgrain
- need to get as smooth as humanly possible.

Comparing progress of wooden staircase to original maquette/model of melting staircase. Looks like quite a good match - especially the second step.
The varnish gives the wood a gloss / reflective surface.
The wood stain makes the wood appear darker.
The middle produces a mixture of darker gloss.
